Having immigrated as a German lawyer to the U.S. twenty-five years ago, I experienced myself the obstacles for building a new life in a foreign country and can relate well to clients' expectations and the anxiety that sometimes comes with it.
I worked for well known immigration law firms in San Francisco, Chicago, and New Orleans after graduating with a Master in International Legal Studies. I started my own law practice in 2008 after having helped several hundred clients achieve their immigration goals. My experience as a lawyer in Germany and the U.S. has given me broad exposure to the practice of law. And while practicing immigration law for over 20 years has provided me with the opportunity to solve a host of legal problems in almost every area of immigration law, each consultation and representation makes me a better lawyer. Life can trigger a host of unanticipated legal issues and solving those issues keeps adding wrinkles to the face of my experience. Many clients tell me I am very German. I take that as a compliment, and like to think that I am very detail oriented but also personable and committed to pursuing my clients' best interest. I am determined to leave no stone un-turned, and often think outside the box, in finding the best solution for results my clients can count on. |
